This rigging project took place at the Mauro-Sheridan Science, Technology and Communications School in New Haven, CT. Our crew of riggers had to build a 5′ tall x 20′ long platform using 6″ x 6″ pieces of lumber and use a hydraulic gantry to move the 20,000 lb chillers into the building.
The school, which was built earlier in the century, was receiving a major renovation. As is the case with many older buildings, it was not made to incorporate the large technology of current times and so our crew of rigging professionals had to come up with some creative modifications to complete the job.
