On April 6 & 7 2013 A Quick Pick Crane & Rigging hosted an NCCCO Practical Exam at its new facility in Derby, CT.
Due to new OSHA regulations that were passed in 2010, licensing regulations have increased and state governing bodies have until November 2014 to bring their states licensing regulations in line with the new federal laws.
With no state plan yet in place and with demand coming from more and more contractors for NCCCO Licensed Operators a number of Quick Pick operators took it upon themselves to take the tests. After weeks of study a number of the operators took and passed the practical. The practical exam consists of sitting in the seat of a crane and performing certain tasks including guiding a barrel through an obstacle course.
The NCCCO license is considered the highest standard of certification in our industry. Quick Pick would like to congratulate our operators who have made this achievement.
